The ‘6’ key on my b.pad does not work.
I have tried with several different switches, and also soldering on a different diode.
But the keypress is not registered on the computer.
I have flashed the firmvare, and in BootMapperClient using “Toggle bootmapper” nothing registres when i press the ‘6’ key.
All other keys work.
Sorry for your inconvenience.
I’m 90% sure that the problem is due to bad soldering of the switch or diode.
Could you show me your PCB?
And let me know your order number?
Could you check..
1. Make a short between point 1 and 2. It the key is entered, the switch would have a problem.
2. Make a short between point 1 and 3. If the key is entered, the diode would have a problem.
Please let me know the result.
I made a short between 1 and 2 – Key was not entered
When I made a short between 1 and 3 – Key was entered
If then you have to check the diodes.
– Diode is not broken
– Diode is well soldered
– Soldering pads is OK.
Could you wire circle 2 and green circles?
Diode is not broken and well soldered.
Soldering pads should be ok, if not they have been faulty from the start.
Nothing happened when i wired circle 2 and green circle
Could you show me your wiring?
I got the key working now.
Thanks for all your help
