A few of my keys weren’t working, found that this was because the resistors for those were missing solder (pre-soldered pcb)

I added solder to the few that weren’t working, but right alt already had solder. I added a tiny bit more just to be sure, and it still doesn’t work.

The pad below the resistor is filled with solder, if that matters (it came like this) and it’s very close to the solder for the resistor, but is not touching.

The minus pad under the switch is also filled with solder (it came like this)

It is definitely not my switch, as I have tried to test the pads manually for this key (on all 3 pairs, none work)

Additionally, rgb underlighting doesn’t seem to work at all

Pressing set keyboard in the bootmapper returns HID error, indicating a hardware fault

Okay I’ve just noticed the SMD diode is flipped compared to the rest.

Could this be the cause of the issue?

    Hi

I can’t tell exactly what makes your problem.

Judging from your photo, I think there would be a lot of bad solderings.

Please visit here and compare with your soldering : http://winkeyless.kr/soldering-guide/

    Thanks.

Yes we think someone else has done the soldering.  Many diodes were missing soldering altogether.

Can you please answer my earlier questions about the SMD diode?

    1) Does it matter if it is flipped (because this is the cause of the problem if so) and

    2) what mA and V the SMD diodes you sell are rated at (so I can buy another if I break it whilst removing it)

    Hi

    1) Yes. Diodes has polarity. It will make a problem when soldered in wrong direction.

    2) LL4148 or 1N4148W

    Thanks.
