I have a full size b.87 ex x2 PCB. When I try to load the ps2avrGB_NKRO.hex firmware file, it looks like it uploads correctly, but then I am not able to connect to the keyboard with the BootMapper program. If I try to connect I get “Error opening ps2avrGB device: The specified device was not found”. None of the keys will respond to presses. Once I have loaded this firmware I can’t load new firmware without disconnecting the USB cable, then holding down the left ctrl key while reconnecting the keyboard.

If I load the firmware file ps2avrGB_split_NKRO.hex, I can connect to the keyboard using the BootMapper program, and I can configure only the RGB LED’s that align with the feet and not all the keys work.

Why can’t I load the correct firmware?

When I load ps2avrGB_NKRO.hex the keyboard does not function at all. I can’t connect to it using the BootMapper utility and none of the keys or RGB led’s work.

I have a friend who ordered a similar b.87 board at the same time as me who was able to load the ps2avrGB_NKRO.hex firmware with no problem. We tried 3 different USB cables, and with Windows 10, Windows 7, and Mac OS 10.11.1 and all had the exact same result.

    Hi

Could you remove USB driver and replug your keyboard?

Unfortunately that did not solve the problem. Also the issue happens on Mac OSX and Windows.

    I’ve checked you order.

I’m sure your PCB is OK itself.

Some bad soldering(not enough lead, wrong direction, electric short) can make a device error.
Could you check the switches soldering parts?

If it doesn’t help, could you send me the pictures of the PCB?

    Thanks.
