Massdrop has Gateron switches selling cheap and it’s given me an excuse to build a keyboard. I was wondering if I should be buying PCB mounted or plate mounted switches? As far as I can see it doesn’t say how they’re mounted but I don’t have the experience to work it out for myself. Thanks , Mal.

    Hi

Are you using a PCB from “winkeyless”?

Then you don’t have to worry about it.

    Our pcbs support both type.

    Thanks.

you can always snip off the legs/pins from pcb mounted switches, so its always safer to go with pcb mount. but as Hojin said, b.series pcb support both so its up to you which one you choose
