    Hey!

Does the ATMEGA controller come pre-programmed? I just finished soldering my keyboard. Plugged it in, and it showed up as an “USB HID v1.01 Device [obdev.at HIDBoot]” device in Linux, but nothing happens when I press the keys.

I tried flashing the firmware through Wine and also a Virtual Machine, which both said the device is not present.

If the ATMEGA comes pre-programmed, I think there is something wrong with my soldering.

If it does not come pre-programmed I should find a computer with Windows.

    Thanks.

    Hi Sorry for your inconvenience.

Yes all the chips are coming out with firmware uploaded.

Please see this page : https://winkeyless.kr/how-to-fix-when-keyboard-doesnt-work-after-uploading-firmware/

    And check your soldering.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the tips! I got it working. Installed Windows 10 on a laptop I had lying around and uploaded firmware and keymap.

Would be cool if it was possible to do this from Linux.

    Thanks,

    Burk
